Shabby Apple...Not Too Shabby

Have you all heard of the craze that is Shabby Apple?? I'll be honest, I hadn't heard of them until recently. On most days I stay in pjs until about noon, and then either shower and change in to lounge clothes, or jeans and a tshirt if running out of the house. I have not worked a "big kid job" in about 3.5 years so I am not used to dressing up. For the holidays last year I was pregnant, so those dresses don't fit anymore and we have only gone out twice since I had Eliza and Outback doesn't really require anything fancy. I recently went to buy a nice traditional black dress, I found one at JCrew and bought it, I returned it the next day because I couldn't believe I spent $140 on a single dress.

I buy mostly Gymboree for Eliza's "nice clothes", but I buy them on Ebay. I am not one to spend big money on clothes for her unless it is for her pictures...lets face it she drools, crawls, and spits raspberries all day. When it is time for pictures I usually run around like a crazy woman trying to find clothes that go together-but don't match, stuff we will wear again-but isn't crazy expensive. Where was Shabby Apple for the past year!?

Eliza is totally wearing this for Christmas pictures next year:

And I am wearing this:

I absolutely love that most of their Girls dresses have a coordinating Mommy dress.

For those of you just trying to find the perfect style, this is your place! Look at this dress...

We all know Lindsey Lohan is the last person you would want promoting your products but didn't she just wear a dress like this to court the other day? She might be a hot mess mentally but she looked AMAHZING for once!! This dress is less then $100.

Another thing I love about Shabby Apple, they let you know their sizes run "generously" so order a size smaller then normal. UGH! Who wouldn't want to order a size smaller then normal, total confidence booster!!

Lets remember Shabby Apple isn't just dresses, they have swim wear, and it is flattering! I am not sure how many moms can still wear Victoria's Secret swim wear anymore..not me. Yes, I was fortunate to be able to loose the baby weight but the battle wounds she left on my body, I would like to keep for my eyes only. Even if you came out of pregnancy with the perfect body, who hasn't had their little one climb all over them in the pool? Lets get some reinforcement with these suits!

How beautiful and feminine is this suit?? It covers, but is still sexy in a very womanly way. LOVE IT!!

So that is my bit, I love them, can't get enough of them, and I have a feeling Mark will be checking out my "wish list" they offer...what guy could ever get sick of seeing their wife in sweats???

A return to what dresses were always meant to be — a one-piece outfit. No need to add anything...no tank tops, no cardigans, nothing (except accessories, of course!).

We started Shabby Apple because we saw a need in women’s fashion that was not being met. A need to make women feel feminine and beautiful for what they wear, not what they bare. We offer flirty, stylish dresses a woman can wear just as comfortably in the office, at a family dinner, or on a date. Shabby Apple is a fashion company for women, by women, and of women.
Because serving women and families is a core value at Shabby Apple, we devote a certain percentage of our net proceeds to charitable causes serving women and children.
