Thankful Wednesday

Today I am thankful for renewed friendships. As much as I curse Facebook for how much of my day it takes up I am so thankful it is able to help me keep in touch with friends and family.

Back in elementary school my parents moved our family about 20 minutes away from our house. We had to switch schools and between 5th and 6th grade that wasn't the easiest. I tried to stay in contact with friends but it isn't that easy. Thanks to Facebook I have been able to get back in touch with those friends.

One of those friends, you will see hosting the contest on my page here. We were inseparable in 4th and 5th grade. We did Girl Scouts and softball together, and spent many weekends together. After I moved our parents did their best to keep us together but distance came between us. I feel the Lord had a different plan though; he kept bringing her back to my mind. When the house next to ours sold and the family moved in we found out the Becca's dad had actually bought their house. I would see them at my job at the local hardware store often. Thanks to Facebook we have been back in contact and that really warms my heart.

Another girl I got back in contact is Beth, she owns Sunbeam Photography. We got together to do our Christmas card photos. We had a great time, even with the rain and cold we were having in Michigan. She pulled out all of the tricks to get Eliza to smile. She is such a hard egg to crack; she is just so serious when the cameras come out. Beth definitely got that smile we were looking for, check out our photo for our card.

We call this "Christmas through a child's eyes". I just love it!!
