All Alone...

This Valentine's Day I spent alone, well Eliza was here, but without my Mark. A few weeks back he was offered an opportunity to go out of state for work. We realized it would be during Valentine's Day but it was an opportunity not to pass up. Now, Valentine's Day is not important, it isn't a birthday or Christmas and it isn't Eliza's first V-Day, so it wasn't that big of a deal. He left on Monday and came back today. I never really like Mark being gone, it makes me nervous to be home alone at night, he rarely has to go so I can't complain.

Sitting at home Tuesday night, while Eliza was in bed, I realized how blessed I was to be home alone on Valentine's Day. I was home alone with my daughter, on a holiday, while he was in a hotel all alone.

I am blessed to be home, while he is gone, because he works so hard to allow me to be home.
I am blessed to be home, while he is gone, because he never thinks about himself, but only us.
I am blessed to be home, while he is gone, because he has a job that gives him these opportunities.
I am blessed to be home, while he is gone, and able to take Eliza to swim class.
I am blessed to be home, while he is gone, and sign Eliza up for gymnastics.
I am blessed to be home, even if it is alone, because of him.

So I watched my DVR, and ate tator-tots for dinner, while others posted about the dinners they had or events they did. But I knew, I am the one that is blessed.

Nothing to do with Valentine's Day, but I love this picture of us 3!
