Mark said Eliza had a bit of a melt down at swim class, which is totally not like her. We figured she was just unsure of the fact that Mark was there instead of me. Also, they switched swim teachers, AGAIN, so she wasn't used to that teacher. Hopefully next week she will be back to normal.
After swim class...Woobie and Paci are still the key to sleeping in the car...oh and cheerios |
On Wednesday she had her 16 month check up. I actually forgot all about it, all I wanted to do was lay around that day. I accidentally took my meds on an empty stomach, OH MY GOSH, that was the worst. I instantly remembered what morning sickness felt like. Gross
At her checkup her DR told me how amazing she was....no seriously. I am sure they say this to everyone but it is still great to hear. She talked his ear off, told him what all the animals say and named her body parts. He just sat there laughing, saying Wow. They did her height at weight, she is 32inches(75%) and 22lbs(40%), I didn't hear her head circumference but we will just say...huge. He expressed the need for her to have her shots. I skipped them at 12months and he said it was time. I fought, hard, but he ended up breaking me down on 2 of the 3. Fine just do it. It was heartbreaking, stomach turning, breath taking guilt as she screamed for me. Luckily I gave her a sucker, don't judge, and she was better. She was most annoyed with the band-aid on her finger from her finger poke.
The rest of the day was fairly normal. She refused to nap which is fairly weird for her after shots.
I found her sleeping like this...yes I took it off her head |
She had trouble sleeping all night, then woke up on FIRE. She was so red, Mark thought she had a horrible sunburn when I brought her in our room. I took her temperature 102.6! Holy Moly. Eliza has never had a fever, ever, so I didn't know what to do. I went and got her milk and put in motrin, then searched for my baby books. She was crying and so upset, thank goodness for The Wiggles. The Dr's office didn't open for an hour and a half, great.
Watching Wiggles waiting for the Dr to open |
Her fever was down to 101 by the time the Dr was available, he said to just keep up with motrin and tylenol and if it wasn't lower by today to call.
Once the motrin kicked in she was my normal munchkin, but I could definitely tell when it was wearing off. We went to a few garage sales and then just hung around the house. Here are a few shots of her playing in the yard, she just kills me with her posing and faces!
I love her feet in this, just resting on her heels |
Cheeeeese |
"Mommy....this" |
Here she is sleeping in the car after garage sales. Seriously, sleeping in the car three times in one week?? Heaven Sent!
This time we needed, paci, woobs, kitty, and milk. Whatever it takes!! |
Hope you all have a good weekend, talk to you soon!
