I am so excited to show you this craft. I LOVED making it with Eliza. I will be honest, it isn't an original idea at all. I found it over at No Biggie. I started it that day I loved it so much.
Supplies:
Shadowbox
Card stock
Scrapbook Paper
Spray Adhesive
Acorns
I started off printing out the saying onto my card stock, you can print it here, for free!! I use card stock so that it is thicker and not so flimsy when you go to attach it.
I trimmed it along the dotted lines and waited.
I then got my shadowbox ready. I always use the picture that comes with it. It tends to be sturdy and always cut to the right size.
I spray the picture with my spray adhesive then lay my scrapbook paper on it and let it dry. Cut the excess paper off.
Repeat the process with the card stock. Spray it lightly, don't get it to wet because it will wrinkle. Lay it down on the center of your scrapbook paper. Again, allow it to dry.
This was my favorite part. Go collect acorns!! We went to our favorite park, gave Eliza a bucket and she went to town.
They got a bit distracted
But I finished with all my acorns...and a frog
I washed them in a colander when we got home to get all the dirt off.
Now all you have to do is fill up your shadowbox with your acorns, put the picture back in and you are done!
All together this cost me about $11 and it might be my favorite decoration I made for fall!
