Telling Mark! Very Picture Heavy

Here is the story of how I told Mark...

Back in November, after we received the all clear to try again, I had a shirt made for Eliza. I don't know if I was delusional or if it was wishful thinking, but I wanted to be ready to tell Mark as soon as I found out I was pregnant. 

Well, it didn't happen as quick as I hoped and as the months went by, I would continue to try the shirt on Eliza, hoping it would still fit.

That Thursday when I found out I was pregnant, I had to hurry and message my photographer Beth, from Sunbeam Photography. We had discussed long ago about how we would do the pictures and she helped me pick out a shirt that would photograph well. 

We set up a plan to meet at the park for some Spring pictures. I'll be honest, Mark wasn't too thrilled on the idea. We do photos so often, he was kind of over it, but because he is such an AMAZING husband, he went along with it.

We decided we would have Eliza wear her Big Sis shirt with a Spring coat over it, then Beth would ask her to take the coat off. Getting Eliza dressed I was NERVOUS. She had her big sis shirt on and the last thing I wanted Mark to do was try to get her coat off in the car.

We got to the park and did a few family photos.

Then Beth asked if Eliza could take her coat off. Mark has been photographed SO many times he knew to keep his position. It was perfect. He stayed there as Eliza went to Beth and took her coat off. She had her stand in front of us and took some pictures, Mark was none the wiser. Then, Beth told Eliza to turn around...pure magic.

He was so concentrated on keeping his pose and smile, it took him a minute to get the shirt 

The rest of the time is kind of a blur. Lots of hugs, kisses and tears. We took more photos said our goodbyes to Beth and headed out.

I will say, Mark apologized on the ride back for being so stubborn about going and thanked me for surprising him like I did when I was pregnant with Eliza. 

We stopped for dinner on the way home and celebrated. Baby #2 was officially part of our family!
