Fall Fun...In July

The weather here in Michigan has been pretty wonky lately. 2 weeks ago we had 100* weather, this past week, highs in the 60s. It feels like Fall and I love it!! I am seeing all of the decor coming out and I am bummed we don't have a house to decorate. I am so thankful for our new house, and know it will be amazing, but I wish we were in and unpacked! The condo is just a hodgepodge of stuff right now, so not really able to decorate, and Lord knows where all of my decorations are.

I decided to do a little flashback to a wreath I loved so much last year, here ya go!

Nap Time Finds

Today while Eliza napped and Mark worked, I decided to take a trip to our local Marshalls. I LOVE that chain. You can find the cutest stuff at the greatest prices(Is that their slogan??).

As I have mentioned, not being able to set up the girls rooms right now is pretty tough. I do know that Eliza's room is my main priority. Having to move for the second time in just a few months will really throw her, then add in a whole new bedroom set and no crib! I have a few things left on my list for her room. Sheets-Curtains-Lamp and knick-nacks. I was able to knock a few things out today!

Look at my great finds!!

LOVE this elephant frame that matches Lady Bug's room perfectly! Only $10

Two sets of sheets for Eliza's bedroom. I wish I could have bought the ones that coordinated with her bedding, but both of these sets cost less than HALF of the Pottery Barn Kids set. Both for $35

Remember when I said I wanted to make this rug for Eliza?? I found it at Marshalls! $16 and didn't take me hours to make. I grabbed one for Lady Bug's room too. I figured right in front of their beds would be cute, they are about 3x4 so a great size!

I am still not 100% sure what the decor of their bathroom will be, but for $14 I couldn't pass up this adorable curtain. Looks like I am going with grays and pinks...

I still have a few things to locate, I will be on the search for a lamp to refinish tomorrow at Salvation Army, but I am feeling a little bit more prepared!

House Update!

We are moving right along! I go back through my pictures and I am shocked to see how far we have come. The last few weeks were kind of boring for photos. Taking pictures of electrical wires and plumbing pipes wasn't too exciting. After the rough inspection was completed they started FLYING. Insulation-Drywall-Stone. It is amazing!!

Here are some pictures from a few weeks back:

Recessed lighting in the Great Room

Arched walkways to the kitchen

The girl's playroom

Mommy! Look at this big bed Deni made me!!(it's a pile of drywall)

Here are pictures I took this week!

She loves her new room!

If it keeps up at this pace, we will be moving in no time!! I can't wait to start picking colors for flooring and counter tops!

My Blueberry Baby

One thing I can always get Eliza to eat is blueberries. Anything blueberry flavored, she is in. It makes me laugh because they might be my absolute least favorite fruit.

Last year we went to pick some at a local farm called Hazens Farm and with the nice cool weather this week we decided to go again.

.

Here she is hanging at the blueberry farm!!

Today is one of those days that God reminded me that I am doing something right with her. Some days I question the mom that I am, I think a lot of us do, but not today. She was SO polite to everyone she saw, ran up to talk to kids without needing encouragement and was just so sweet.

For example: On the car ride home I was explaining we needed to go home and wash and dry the blueberries then we could eat them. When I said eat them I said nom-nom-nom and pretended to eat some in my hand, she responded with. "Whoa whoa, it's ok, calm down, deep breath in and out, there ya go, good job, let's talk about it". It cracked me up. I try very hard to talk her through when she is upset and apparently she thought I was upset with my attempt to eat blueberries.

We stopped off for a slush as a reward for our hard work. While driving she said she was all done and handed me the cup. I told her she had a lot left and she said "no, I need to save some for daddy when he comes home". Melt my heart

Do you enjoy picking your own fruit? I am hoping to do some more as the summer goes on!

I Spy With My Etsy Eye

Lately I have been getting back into Etsy. I used it a TON when I was pregnant with Eliza and even after. Her bedding, her diaper bag, clothes, picture props and so much more came from there. It started to get a bit expensive so I had to scale back.

Now with Little Lady Bug on the way, I have jumped back into it! Check out these adorable things I found this week!!

Top Left- Adorable teacher gift for her new preschool teacher!!
Top Right- I would love a return address stamp instead of labels
Bottom Left- Little butterfly photo prop for Lady Bug
Bottom Right- I just might get this for Eliza's room, my freckle faced girl!!

Not My Day-Maybe Not Even My Week

Defeated.

I think that is the only word I can use right now. Prepare yourself for a rant of snottiness and first world problems.

Right after I typed up and scheduled my Five Friday Favorites...our AC broke. Seriously, no joke. It was like the evil blogger demons heard me and said "take that"!!

A Little Inspiration

I have needed a little help lately, a little inspiration to keep going. I have never been shy about my anxiety, it is a part of me. Whether it is being scared of the weather, overwhelmed by situations or just everyday worrying, it is me. When I found out I was pregnant with Lady Bug I stopped taking my medication. Both my OBGYN and Psychiatrist agreed it was best for the baby and we agreed if I just stayed true to my feelings, I would be OK.

Eliza's Big Girl Room

Since I gave you a sneak peak at what we will be doing in Little Lady Bug's room, I figured I would show you Eliza's room too!

Like I mentioned, we found a bedroom set for Eliza. I wish I would have saved the pictures from CraigsList but they took it down before I could snag them. The set is currently in storage so I guess it will just have to be a surprise!

Five Friday Favorites

1. My first favorite thing this week, Air Conditioning!! It is hotter than I could ever imagine and it seems like there is no relief in sight. We are running our AC on full blast all day long and it is still pretty warm. Thank you LORD for AC.

2. I am loving the Petunia Pickle Bottom Satchels! With two little ones running around I love the option of having a backpack diaper bag. This is my favorite print for the girls!

3. How about not having to do yard work?? Mark and I just realized the other day that we haven't had to cut the grass in over a month. It was our least favorite chore and with this heat, I am VERY thankful for a condo right now!!

4. I love Gymbucks!! It is redemption period right now and they have no let you redeem Gymbucks at the outlets. I got the girls tons of clothes for next summer. Such great deals!!

5. My favorite way to end my Friday Favorites...my little lovie!

We aren't really going to DisneyWorld, but it was super cute!!

Have a good weekend guys!!

Our Little Lady Bug's Room

I am really bummed not being able to get baby girl's room put together. We still have a few months until we are in the house and I feel like I am going to be super rushed. I don't know if this is nesting SUPER early, or just my normal anxiety with the house.

With Eliza, I started her room right away. Back then, Pinterest sure wasn't what it is today. Luckily, I have been able to store all of my ideas so hopefully I will get rolling as soon as we get in the house!

Here are my plans:

Eliza and a HALF

Eliza Marie-

I can't believe you are 2.5, that seems so much older than 2! It is practically 3.

I wish I had a video camera on you all day long, the things you do and say just kill me!! You have the GREATEST sense of humor in history. I swear there is no other kid that says and does the things you do.
Making faces at me from daddy's car

Letters To My Love Bug 20 Weeks Pregnant

Thank you to Shone Foto for these photos.

Second Child Shaft

I am struggling. How do you do everything equal? I want my kids to think everything is fair, as much as it may not be. I don't want one to think they get more than the other. Whether it is attention, love or material things. Everyone says, it always works out, but I am struggling.

Oh Little Bug, What Will You Be??

Here we are, days away from the half way point. I told Mark, "If this is my size halfway, I will be thrilled at 40weeks!" Unfortunately, I gain all of my weight the last 10 weeks.

I BECAME A MOTHER, AND DIED TO LIVE. by renegademama

I came across this article yesterday. What I would have done to have been able to read this 2 years ago. The feelings I felt, ashamed of feeling this way, afraid to tell anyone because I would look bad. Everyone always said "isn't it the most amazing thing, doesn't she just take your breath away?". Well, of course she does, but who am I now? Is this my whole life? Thank you Renegade Mama for helping me realize, I am not wrong for feeling that way, and I will probably feel that way even more when little bug arrives.

What A Bore!!

I am so lame. I haven't blogged in over a week, I wish it was due to lack of time, unfortunately it is just due to lack of excitement!
