I think that is the only word I can use right now. Prepare yourself for a rant of snottiness and first world problems.
Right after I typed up and scheduled my Five Friday Favorites...our AC broke. Seriously, no joke. It was like the evil blogger demons heard me and said "take that"!!
The problem with renting, you can't really control what is happening. I am at the mercy of our landlord. He has been wonderful with trying to get someone out, but it still is not fixed. We had the heatwave from hell last week too. 100* temperatures, a pregnant lady and a toddler, it wasn't pretty. I cry daily(no real shock with these hormones), sleep with a fan inches from my face, and even put ice packs in my pillow. On Thursday he said he would be back Monday or Tuesday to fix it, well it is Tuesday and I just got word from our landlord, he won't be here until Sunday. Yes, the heatwave has broke so I am thankful for that, but I really feel this shouldn't be acceptable. Unfortunately, AC is a luxury not a necessity-he clearly has never been pregnant.
We were able to beat the heat this weekend for a few hours thanks to my cousin's wedding. I haven't seen a lot of that side of my family in years, only my Grandma has actually met Eliza, so it was a lot of fun. Eliza was in HEAVEN. She was convinced my cousin and her husband were Cinderella and Prince Charming. When she saw Alyssa walk down the aisle, she about lost it!! When Prince Charming kissed Cinderella, she DID loose it!!
Blurry but so giddy as she watched her come down the aisle |
"Mommy!! Cinderella danced with me!" |
Monday, Eliza and I spent some time hanging out in Labor and Delivery. I had been having some severe pains since Thursday. I tried ignoring them but they just wouldn't go away. I was struggling to hold Eliza, walk up the stairs and always felt pressure. I called the DR and even though I had an appt for today, they told me to go to the hospital. After 2 hours of monitoring, questions and lots of cartoons, they decided it was just ligament pain. I will say, I am not sold 100% on this diagnosis. I feel like I know that pain from Eliza but I am happy it is nothing more.
I am happy I had my little girl to keep me company.
I was sent home with the directions to get one of these fancy contraptions!
I know you're jealous!!
We are just hanging around, being lazy and taking it easy today.
Oh how she loves her sister |
