I Love A Bargain!

With all of the shopping we have had to do lately-the house, Eliza, the baby-I have to watch for deals! I realized recently that I am just not fitting into my pre-pregnancy clothes like I used to. With Eliza, all I did was go up a pant size in my normal jeans and I was fine. I don't know what it is about this little princess, but that sure won't work!

We took Eliza to the movies the other day and swung by Target on the way out. I decided to check out the maternity pants in hopes of finding something that made me feel better. I found a pair of super cute capris by Liz Lange that fit great.

I then looked at the tag, $35!! That might not sound like a lot, but I don't even spend that on jeans that I can wear everyday, let alone only 3 more months!! I put them back on the rack and headed out. I just couldn't do it.

When I got home, I had a brilliant idea, eBay! I use eBay for SO many things, I never use it for me though. I knew the size and brand I needed so I went on a search. I found SO many options! I was able to snag a pair for....wait for...$1.25!!! Seriously, $1 for a pair on jeans! Now that is my kind of deal! I have gone on to purchase about 4 pair now, I hope I will be set through December!

I love Pottery Barn Kids, that is where both of the girls bedding is from and I know that I will be able to match everything from there. We only have one PBK around us and it isn't close, so I tend to shop their site. I found the perfect color curtains for the girls rooms and yep, I searched them out on eBay. I was able to save $40 on just Eliza's room!! I am still watching for a good price for Little Lady Bug's room but we have plenty of time(I am trying to convince myself at least).

As I prepare for life with 2 girls(seriously, I can't say it without my heart skipping a beat) I am trying to make my life as easy as possible. When Eliza was little I wasn't one to carry around the whole house with us when we went out. I had a normal diaper bag-diapers, snack, change of clothes-that's about it. Now a days, I don't take a bag with us anywhere. I kind of chuckle when I see the moms out there with an overflowing bag. I decided this time it might be a little more difficult with 2 so I am going to go with a backpack style diaper bag. Having to hold Eliza's hand on one side and carry the car seat on the other, I will have no free arms. I didn't want a backpack that looks like a school bag, I wanted a trendy bag. How adorable is this bag from Petunia Pickle Bottom??
I love it! I can carry it like a regular bag, or turn it into a backpack if I need both arms...I am currently the leading bidder on eBay ;)

What is your favorite way to save?

Ps...please don't forget to vote for Eliza's photo. Click on the picture and vote for her. Big Surprise coming if we win!!
